A number of officials and heads of major technology companies in the United States participated with US senators at Capitol Hill, in a marathon brainstorming session on how lawmakers are regulating artificial intelligence.
During the meeting, Musk warned senators that AI poses a "civilizational risk" to governments and societies.
Musk supported the idea of creating a federal agency to oversee AI and reiterated his warning that AI poses a formidable risk.
